Fall is in full swing in Chicago and several local and national organizations will be hosting fun fall festivals near the downtown area. Here is a look at three upcoming events this November that we think you’ll enjoy:
Chicago Comedy Film Festival
Taking place on November 9th through the 11th is the Chicago Comedy Film Festival at Columbia College. The event will begin with two full-length films beginning at 6 pm on Friday, followed by two full days of showings, panels, parties, and the final award ceremony on Sunday night.
There will be a healthy mix of short and full-length films throughout the day dedicated to different themes. Attendees can also vote for their favorite films via text Friday through Sunday. Purchase your tickets online anytime.
Adventure Film Festival
If comedy isn’t your style, try the Adventure Film Festival on November 11th at the Music Box Theatre. Doors open at 4:30 pm so guests can purchase drinks and snacks and enter for a chance to win a raffle. Films will begin at 5:30 pm and raffle winners will be announced at 8:30 pm. Proceeds will benefit the Sierra Club’s Chicago Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO), which helps urban students experience and protect Chicago’s natural habitat.
27th Annual BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival
Finally, get into the holiday spirit with the 27th Annual Magnificent Mile Lights Festival in downtown Chicago. This year’s event will take place on November 16th and 17th and will feature seemingly endless activities throughout the day. Local vendors such as 10Pin, Connie’s Pizza, Eli’s Cheesecake Company, and many more will be offering specials during this time. Admission is free and includes live entertainment and a parade.
These fall festivals are only a few of the exciting events taking place near 215 West. Contact us to learn more about living in downtown Chicago or to schedule a tour of our community.
